YOU SHOULD EXPECT FROM ANY SCHOOL THE FOLLOWING MINIMUM : (I've put in a link to STA Travel who can provide excellently cheap flights)
Salary of 8000Yuan per month to 6+ month contract teachers.
Zibo is a fast-developing City but still very rural with the added advantage of a very low cost of living. For example, in summer, the watermelon is about one yuan for 2.5 kilos. During winter, the best apples are 2 yuan for one kilo. We can spend 50 yuan in the restaurant for a quite good banquet! The good beer is about 1.5 yuan for one bottle ! 2000yuan is over double the high-average monthly wage here and is perfectly adequate for good living in the area.

Mandarin Chinese classes are provided to anyone desiring to learn to read and write in both Chinese characters (calligraphy) and pin-ying (the English spelling of Chinese) and to speak the Mandarin Chinese language.
Here in China all the children learn English beginning in junior middle school throughout university, because we consider English essential insofar as it is the international language. However, Chinese parents want their young children to learn English, because it is easier for children to absorb languages the earlier they start, so your students may be as young as eight years old. The students you will teach, aged 7 to l8, and sometimes adults, can read and write basic English, but they have never heard it spoken by someone from an English-speaking country. Their teachers now are Chinese teachers who majored in the English language in their university, so your students are eager to hear English from a native-speaker. You will teach the children regular lessons, or you can just hang out with them and have "free talk," discuss anything you and they want, so they can participate in English conversation with you. They are very interested in anything Chinese, but also anything American, Australian, Canadian, etc. .. history, architecture, art, science, economics, computers, movies, music, sports, especially the American NBA (National Basketball Association,) and international soccer (Chinese call it football.) Chinese students are hugely curious about how students their ages in America, Australia, Canada and Europe live and study. They love American music, collect a lot of American tapes and CDs, and watch videos on TV.
If you have maps of the world, China, the USA, Europe; literature easy for the children to understand, comics, photographs, pictures from magazines, music tapes, books, anything to help the kids get to know your native country and learn your language, please bring them with you to Zibo. Any teacher resources will be useful, in fact, since the resources available in general are poor here. Internet access is abundant in China for pulling resources from the net. We can provide all download & copy facilities necessary.
You will find that the Zibo children are already well taught in English. They know the fundamentals of sentence structure and verb tenses, noun and verb agreement, etc. They just need to hear you speak naturally and learn to imitate your speech. The children are bright and eager to learn. They are very affectionate, responsive, easy to teach and have minds of their own.
For 6 or 12 month contract teachers you will share an apartment with another like yourself near your school. You will teach 5 days a week, three to five classes a day. In the middle of teaching there is the 1-week May Day holiday in our Spring semester and another 1-week National Day holiday in the fall semester.
BRING YOUR CAMERAS! AND PLEASE BE AWARE THAT A CHINESE SUMMER CAN BE VERY HOT ! AND A CHINESE WINTER CAN BE VERY COLD .. ESPECIALLY IF YOUR SCHOOL PROVIDES APARTMENT ACCOMMODATION WITHOUT CENTRAL HEATING !! (sorry Geert and Lewis !!!)
